The Metropolitan Herpetological Society's 1st annual club picnic was a success.  It couldn't have been done without the members coming out and contributing.  The day was full of great conversation as well as some really great foods and desserts. 

The weather was scorching hot, but it still didn't stop everyone from coming out and spending the day at Blue Heron Park.  We did take a walk around the park, but it was really way too hot to find anything.  We did find two large green frogs keeping cool in the mud underneath a pallat. 

So to beat the heat we spent the day sitting under the shade of the trees, and eating a wide variety of foods, and just shooting the breeze.  A big thank you to all the members who made the day a success.
